Fire safety Ratio?
I notice in rooms like a cafeteria or a conference room that they have a fire safety warning sign that says how many ppl can be in the room before it becomes a fire safety problem. Is there an equation they use to come up with that number, such as 1 person to x amount of square feet. If anyone can find this out for me i would be greeeeaaatly appreciated!

- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occupancy I believe the equation is a little bit more complex. The equation will probably factor in the number of exits and the distances to them as well as tables, chairs and other obstacles. Wish I could be of more help I am not sure if this is legaly accurate, but here are some figures. http://www.east-northamptonshire.gov.uk/ppimageupload/image10159.pdf
