Free Safety Signs

How will the Seattle Seahawks get back to the super bowl?

Management's decision to sign safeties Deon Grant and Brian Russell was a bit puzzling. What were the plans for them? Start both. During postdraft minicamp, Grant was at free safety and Russell was the strong safety. Coaches and teammates gushed about their communication skills -- to the point where quarterback Matt Hasselbeck admitted he stopped trying to read the coverage before the snap because Grant and Russell were so good at helping everyone else disguise it. But they did more than just talk. Each made plays. Grant displayed an explosive burst to close on passes. Russell showed the savvy to read what receivers were going to do.

  1. better offense.
  2. They wont niners take the division and the seahawks miss the playoffs thus ending their SB window
  3. The Seattle Seahawks will get back to the Super Bowl by either winning the NFC West Division or having a win-loss record good enough to qualify for the playoffs then winning every playoff game including the Conference Championship.
  4. They need to rebuild their O-line. They need Alexander to have a good year. They also need better receivers. Why did they get rid of D-jack?
  5. When are people going to realize that Holmgrim has been fooling them for years? He's sucked without Favre to carry him.
  6. If they can stay healthy they have a good shot. They still took the division with there starting QB injured and missing games, and there starting RB out for half the season. They do need to work on the O-line a bit, that is a major concern.
  7. Get the injury bug outta Seattle and start looking for good replacements for Mack Strong who is aging and Steve Hutchinson Left Guard who strongly helped the run game and Alexanders MVP!
  8. They won't! They had their shot two years ago and blew it. They shouldn't have even made the playoff's last year.
