Darren Sharper to Jets?
the Jets did not draft a safety in the draft and they clearly need another. Sharper recently hinted in a video that he would like to join the jets. due to the final 8 rule for signing free agents, sharper wouldnt be able to join the jets until july 22nd unless they lose another UFA before then, which is highly unlikely. any chance that this will happen?

- GOOD IDEA
- Sharper will sign back with the Saints
- The cutting of Alan Faneca makes this a very definite possibility. He's said that he'd love to play in New York and there were some talks about him at the beginning of free agency, but they never really amounted to much as the Jets signed Brodney Pool. I think he'd be a great fit, since the one thing the Jets secondary lacks is a centerfielder/ballhawk free safety, which is the only thing Sharper can really do at this point, but he can do it well.
- they have marlin jackson at safety
- Wow that would be a great move on The Jets's part to land a guy like that especially with the defense that they already have. Add a play maker like him and voila the best defense in the whole NFL once again. But based on what you said about July 22nd being the earliest they can sign him I doubt they'll land him although it would be a great move like I said.
