Free Safety Signs - If you saw a car with it's hazard lights on, in the far right lane, and it was stopped, what would you think?

If you saw a car with it's hazard lights on, in the far right lane, and it was stopped, what would you think?

My car stalled this evening, and I couldn't get it to restart. I pulled into the far right lane, turned on the hazard/emergency lights, and got on my cell and started calling the auto repair shop, and then a tow truck. There was no shoulder, just a curb, and I couldn't get the car started to drive up on the curb and into the nearby grass. If you saw this, what would you think? About half the people saw me disabled, and drove around me. The other half though, pulled right up behind me, and waited for me to move. They flashed their lights, honked their horns, and gave me the finger. One person waited behind me for almost 10 minutes, and then figured out that she should go around. Aren't hazard lights the universal sign that I can't move, or that I am stopped?

Some people are just real morons, and the obvious just seems to allude them. They get into their own little worlds and they must shut their brains off. You are right, they should have seen your lights and planned ahead to go around you, but then again the most uncommon thing is common sense.
Those people are total idiots!
They sure are! When I see a car stopped in the right lane, with the hazard lights flashing, it tells me that the vehicle has a problem and that it is unable to proceed under it's own power. If time permits I will stop and offer assistance, this is not always possible. In any event the flashers tell me that the vehicle is a hazard to proceeding, and that it is necessary to cautiously change lanes and go around it watching for potential dangers around or in front of the vehicle.
as a truck driver i seen alot of stuff like that. there are alot of people do not care and they will honk horn and flash light when they could help u get out of the middle of the road! people do not know that as a rule of thumb u should move to the left when u see hazard lights or stop car on the side of road. U never know when someone would jump out of car or walk around it as a car or truck is passing by! That is my voice on this subject!
