- ANSI accredits the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), which in April 1992, published ANSI Z535.4-1991, Product Safety Signs and Labels. This standard is one of a series of standards that includes: Z535.1, Safety Color Code Z535.2, Environmental and Facility Safety Signs Z535.3, Criteria for Safety Symbols Z535.4, Product Safety Signs and Labels Z535.5, Accident Prevention Tags (for Temporary Hazards)
