  1. You're surprised? What do you think that stuff does to your insides? That's why they dilute it before selling it.
  2. Actually there is quite a bit of phosphoric acid in cola syrup concentrate. Phosphoric acid in that concentration is hazardous. It's much more dilute in the can.
  3. That's at least as much a comment on HazMat rules as it is on cola. While there's a good deal of phosphoric acid in cola syrup, it's also true that regulators have required Hazmat warnings on piles of brick, sandpiles, and other such innocuous substances.
  4. Even coke in a dilute form is still fairly corrosive. Have you ever use it to shine up old coins and stuff like that. Imagine what it does to your teeth : /
