can you receive a motion to dismiss letter from court if you sign up for traffic safety school?

i scheduled a traffic safety class for my traffic violation so it won't stay in my records. Then a week after i receive a letter from court saying that my citation is dismissed. could it have been because i signed up for the class?

1. That does not sound like a reason to have your citation dismissed. Contact the courts where your ticket came from.
