What is wrong with my IPod Mini?

It keeps showing me this battery on the screen and it's got the hazard sign. Sometimes it will also show a folder. I got it from a friend she let me have it. It had no charger or cord so I figured i could use my brother's Ipod nano's cord to hook it up to the computer and charge but nothing is going on..Whats wrong?
