my ipod has a wierd hazard sign and wont turn on?

ok so i let my brother use my ipod big mistake he dropeed a weight on it while working out at the gym and when i got home he told me i got pissed blah blah hes gonna buy me a new one but b4 he does i want to know if there is any way to fix it b4 he buys for me so i can get all my songs back. the reoson i cant get all my songs back is becuz the same day my computer fried so i kinda want all my songs i have a lot. but n e way its a 30g 5th generation and it wont turn on it just blinks this wierd triangle like a hazrd sighn and it wont respond when i plug it in is there any way i can fix it??

1. same thing happeed here go online and see if you can find a guide to removing the hard drive from it. if its in mint condition see if theres a way to swap out the har drives. but make sure you get the same model
