What do the hazard signs on the back of semi's/tractor trailers mean? I know the NFPA signs but what do the white signs that are also shaped like the NFPA signs the ones i have seen have a number and a word usually just hazardous. Any help is much needed.

My Laptop got infected with a malicious virus(Red bio-hazard Background,New Desktop Icons, Pop-ups,..etc)? I wanted to watch a video yesterday on sidereel.com, and I got this message that tells me to Update my flash player to a higher version in order to watch the video, and I clicked yes! Unfortunately, it turned out to be a malicious virus. The Virus does the following: 1-It changed my background into a red one with a bio-hazard sign and with something about security. 2- Next to the computer's clock, I have a "Virus Alert" Message! 3- I keep getting this pop-ups about detected threats from programs that I don't even have on my drive (MS Anti-virus, I guess) 4- When I click the "Start" button (XP Windows), I can only see a list of recently run programs! I can't even move to my programs or documents. 5- When I go to "My computer", I cannot see my listed drives which freaks me out! (Well, I can access them from the internet explorer, though) 6- I keep getting an error message about a possible system attack! 7- I got up to five or six new desktop icons including ones for porn sites! Guys, Please Help me! My laptop is still new, and I'm willing to lose everything I have on my hard disk in order to get rid of this virus! Can anyone help me remove this spyware? I am trying to remove a spyware from my computer that overrides my home page with an "Internet Security" page. It also has added a toolbar and an icon. The icon is a hazard sign with an exclamation point and randomly a balloon pops up that says "Crytical System Errors". When I right click on the icon it brings up a page in my main screen to download "Virusbursters". The toolbar has a lock that keeps me from removing it and it overrides another toolbar. Driving Theory Test....Hazard Perception!? I'm taking my theory test in a week's time. Im fine with the multiple choice questions- no problem. However, the hazard perception im a little confuzzled about! See at first...I thought you had to click every time you see what could be a hazard (like speed limit signs, junctions, people walking along the pavement, traffic lights, etc) but then it turns out you only get marked for your reactions to ONE hazard in each clip (but one clip has two hazards). So your not being marked for all those other things, only the main hazard? Is that right? But then do you have to click all those little things anyway, just incase they develop into 'the main hazard' of the clip? The thing is, though...I always see so many possible hazards and im scared if I keep clicking the computer might think im cheating! Please help- I am terribly confused!

Yield signs on Highway Mergers? I find it strange that on an entrance ramp in many states they have a Yield sign(s), as you are to be near highway speeds when merging instead of requiring the highway traffic to make space for merging traffic. I find that this is a double standard as you would cause more of a traffic hazard if you yielded to traffic and entered the highway at an interval at a much lower than highway speed causing the flow to slow. Hazard Preception Test? Any complaints? I have been driving for over 14yrs. Hold three licence in three different countries and an international licence. I have been driving race cars professionally since I was 17 and motorcycles since I was 12. I recently moved to the UK 9 months ago and have been driving ever since under my international licence and own a motor vehicle here. Today I took my Theory Test, when I watched the instruction video for the "hazard perception part it was very vague and I didn't know if I were to click for possible hazards or for ones I thought were or were going to be hazards. For example the instructional video circled possible hazards in yellow (a couple walking down a side walk) and real hazards in red (a guy running out into the street), I wasn't sure if i was supposed to click for both or just for ones i thought were real hazards or thought would develop into real hazards. Also the instruction video says if you click too many times you will get disqualified from that clip and not get any points for it. I asked a staff member at the exam centre and they gave me the most BS answer I ever heard: "if you think you have clicked too early keep clicking again to be sure"... How does that answer my question? And doesn't that go against what the video says? "Don't' click too many times"? I clicked on what I thought were hazards or hazards developing keeping in mind not to click too many times. I didn't bother to click on people walking on the side walk that weren't crossing the road or anything as to "not click too many times" i only focused on the hazards as soon as i spotted that they were becoming just that. All in all I failed the hazard perception with 39 points and passed the questions 50 out out of 50. When I saw the results I knew something was wrong in how i was instructed to take the hazard part or my understanding of it. When speaking to staff again they took a position that they aren't supposed to tell me and basically told me what they said when i asked the first time around... "keep clicking" which went against what the video said. I called DSA and got no where. I spoke to the company that makes the study books and videos and they told me i should click on everything even bends in the road you cannot see around and certain street signs but only once for each hazard/possible hazard. When I tried some sites online with practise hazard tests the way they show the scoring system is that they only score you for the "real hazards" and not the "possible hazards". I took a few of the practise tests and scored 0 on two of them because I picked up on the hazard before the test says I should have... WTF?? I clicked when I saw it developing and it was before the point threshold... I liked England when I first got here but I am beginning to dislike it very much. Its as if they make the instructions and the scoring system for this test so wishy washy as to make sure most people fail so that they can collect another 31 GBP off of you on technicalities and it seems like everything else here is designed in a similar fashion. And Brits have the nerve to speak badly about the USA.... Has anyone had a similar experience and does anyone have the answer to my question? Should I click on everything that moves in the video multiple times or will that disqualify me from points for that clip? Trevor h, thats what I did as far as click on the ones that i saw as "becoming a hazard" but the instructions didn't say anything about clicking twice because your first click might be too early. If I "have" to buy the DSA study book to get the proper instructions on how to take the exam then why doesn't DSA make it known? Also I have the book for the thoery test but it only briefly speaks about the hazard perception test and its the one from the DSA. What book do you have that tells you how to "properly click" for the hazard part? Enough said? National statistics show that almost half of first timers fail the test every year because of technicalities on the hazard perception part and DSA collects an extra 2 million pounds because of it. After speaking to the company that publishes the software and books for DSA they have said that there has been tons of complaints about the test. It seems that the test really isn't about "hazard perception" but about knowing how to play the video game they call an exam. If I would have known how rediculously constructed this part of the exam was i would have prepared myself for it. But silly me I thought it was about "hazard perception"... Hope others can learn from my mistake and not waste your money and time with this wonderful government we have like I just did. Take as many practice test as you can online until you know how to play there little video game because trust me they wont explain it to you come test time and its really not about hazard perception. How do I raise a two kittens without neglecting one or the other in the process?? My first time own two kittens at one time has left me feeling very new to this when in fact I have raised quite a few kittens in my life time. I purchased two male kittens, about 4 months old, from a pet store which apparently takes strays and sells them. The kittens have two very different personalities which is normal of course, but these differences make me feel as though I am neglecting one when paying attention to the other. Though its mostly just motherly worries, my main concern is that the kitt with the younger less dominant personality may not be able to bloom fully into his own personality with his brother being much more in your face and bold and clear about what he wants. Havok (the more timid) mimics what Hazard does, Havok also seems to act out, getting into trouble for attention when it is he who lays off alone. Mold - Health Hazard? Mold and Wall damage in Apartment Question Details: I recently discovered extensive mold on the wall and carpet of my closet in my apartment. Since I had been away on travel, I had not noticed until now. I did notice odd smells in my apt for at least 2-3 weeks now. I had 38 articles of clothing that are completely soaked in mold, smell horrible, and have visible signs. I notified my landlord and they are in the process of "taking care of the problem". The managment company would not let me move into another unit due to the difference in size/rent. They told me they are obligated to fix a problem once they discover it and will give me 1 week rental credit while they fix it. The mold is extensive and extremely gross. What about the potential health hazard it has caused? How do I know for certain that all the mold in the wall and carpet will be gone? Do I get reimbursed for my damaged clothes? I could have been breathing this for serveral weeks/months?? What should I do now?

If you saw a car with it's hazard lights on, in the far right lane, and it was stopped, what would you think? My car stalled this evening, and I couldn't get it to restart. Do photocopiers present a health hazard 2 the person making the photocopies (& possibly those around him/her)? I sometimes have to photocopy tons of pages from books, and so it's a pain to lift the top of the photocopier up every time i process a page just so I can turn the page and do the same thing. So I just hold the book down with my hands, often staring at the green light which is emitted from the machine's lamp. Is that light hazardous? Why did this wire in my clothes dryer burn up? Have 30 year old dryer with a bad wire. This wire appears to have come lose from its connection due to burning. So, if I trim off the burned portion ( about an inch ) and reattach it, will it be a fire hazard? where in Los Angeles are some of the worst streets to drive in as far as traffic, dangers and bad pavements? I'm bearly getting my licsence and since I'm a new driver I wanted to know what streets are really fast and dangerous for a new drive like me? Traffic jams are easy to handle because you are going really slow and are just sitting there. But I'm talking about confusing roads, signs on the streets, bad pavement, dangerous drivers and a mixed of other hazards.

What on earth is professional about a suit when sooo impractical? Why is a suit considered professional? its not water or rain proof. Does not keep you cool in summer or warm in winter Can't be easily cleaned in a washing machine. the jacket only gets in the way with long buly sleeves which make you uncomfortable.. It does not breath well. If to hot you aint productive Easily damaged or dirtied (remebr no washing machine) No personality injection or creativity The trousers lack extra leg pockets down the sides like combats Especailly for bigger items so your pockets don't bulge They are not as loose and flexible as combats. The shoes are a toal health hazard, no grip, not ankle support, way to stiff. The tie was designed to land in your food, machinery or get in the way Long sleeves uncomfotable, Its restricting movement. So how on earth if that unpractical is it in anyway profession or a sign you are profession when any idiot can where one anyway?

What are my chances of getting new carpet? I moved into my apartment on January 1, 2007. When I moved in, a worker of my landlord had me sign to get the key after glancing over the place, and I was stupid not to have done a picky walk-through first. You see, I signed my lease a couple months prior to moving in after being shown a certain apartment that was to be mine, and when that current tenant decided not to move after all, my landlord ended up giving me a different apartment. Having settled in now, I'm noticing huge stains on the carpet, and places where the carpet is coming up around doorways and walls! The carpet is really old and damaged, and not in the same condition as the carpet in the apartment she originally showed me. What are my rights? Should my landlord replace it or do I have to live with carpet that is gross and coming undone? Isn't that a hazard??

Received ticket - unreasonable speed/special hazards - what does ot mean ? Hello all, I had an accident. I went into turn to fast and rolled over twice. No one was near by, so just my car got totaled and thats it. The police officer gave me a ticked that says "unreasonable speed/special hazards" ...What exactly am I being charged with ? Are we talking about special yellow hazard signs with black arrow in the middle warning you about uppcoming turn ? or what are those ? And should I fight the ticket or just pay for it ? I am doing research on the health and life expectancy of Afghans living/working in rural areas, and how to improve their condition. Why are so many people ignorant about fire safety and fire hazards? I've heard stories where wildfires have been started by carelessly discarded cigarettes, firing toy rockets into dry brush...etc. In the right conditions, even a cigarette that you thought had gone out can turn into a blazing fire. There's signs everywhere detailing fire conditions. There's education out there. Why are people so stupid when it comes to fire? We know Nature has no mercy when it comes to these kinds of things.

Is it recommended to get a ballistic vest for an internship with a police department.? I will be doing an internship with a local police department this summer. I have had to sign about 5 waivers now and I am starting to get concerned. I will be working in their office but I will also be doing a substantial amount of ride alongs with officers. Due to the potential hazards of doing a ride along, should I get a ballistic vest? I am asking here instead of at the internship site as I do not want them thinking I am a gung-ho out of control type or super paranoid, I am sort of both but I do not want them to know just yet.
